Explore
Getting around
The best way to explore Goa is by taxi. Local transport is for limited hours and has poor connections. One can also hire a car/motorbike/cycle for the day.
The local bus-stop is 2 mins away, called Dando.
Candolim city centre- 3 kms
Calangute - 5 kms
Baga- 7 kms
Mapusa- 13 kms
Panjim- 12 kms
Airports:
MOPA Airport - 34 kms (1 hour by taxi)
Dabolim airport- 34 kms ( 1 hour by taxi)
Railway stations:
Margao - 47 kms (1.5 hours by taxi)
Thivim - 20 kms (45 mins by taxi)
The main attraction is Candolim beach. It's sand is fatter and less sticky than other beaches around .
The water is greenish grey, with a bit of character, perfect for swimming.
Please carry your swimsuits!
On the beach, the lower Fort Aguada,
is a 10-minute walk away.
If you walk in the opposite direction you will reach Calangute (5 kms) and further ahead Baga (7 Kms).
By road, the iconic Fort Aguada (upper), lighthouse, and Aguada jail complex,
are just a 10-minute ride from the hotel.
Candolim is the birthplace of
Abe Faria, the father of hypnotism
and his house is a 10 minute ride away.
Take in the local village life and atmosphere with markets, shops, supermarkets, and restaurants with live music.
For Adventure enthusiasts there are dolphin trips, boat rides, water sports and scuba diving training all within a radius of 10-15 mins from the hotel.
With the casino nearby, there truly is something for everyone in Candolim.
